Discovery Place is an enrichment program that serves as an integral part of our community’s commitment to meeting the needs of all students.

The Discovery Place teacher works with other teachers, staff members and parents to provide a variety of enrichment experiences to small groups, classes, specific grades or the whole school.

Discovery Place enrichment classes are offered to students who have been identified as academically gifted, and to students who have a strong interest in a topic and are recommended by their teachers to participate.

Discovery Place offers students the opportunity to conduct independent research and create projects on topics of interest.

The Discovery Place teacher works with other teachers to develop modifications and extensions to the curriculum when  to provide appropriate challenge.

The Discovery Place teacher informs parents about opportunities for gifted students outside of school.
